How I See The World

The other day I was swimming in the ocean at sunset, completely enthralled by the colors I was seeing.

Not only the colors in the sunset itself, but the colors, water, light, that I see beyond that. (This is what some would call "second sight," or "seeing beyond the veil," but I personally just call it "seeing.")

I see them all around us (and in us) creating shapes (often moving circles but so much more) that leave me in a constant state of “you take my breath away.”

This is visible to me pretty much all the time, but sometimes, especially in certain places in nature or with certain people, it is “louder” than usual. Where the colors are buzzingly alive, and sing to my cells.

These colors feel other-worldly. They have an unmasked ability to make you feel so seen and understood beyond this earthly existence, and connected to the vast embrace of all there is. They feel like visitors... dear friends from before we all came here…

Friends that knew and loved us from before we packed on this suit of karma and mental constructs,
and who still love us now as they watch us stumble & triumph through the density of our earthbound journey.

Each individual color has a personality,

but it also feels like all of it has one all-embracing consciousness.

They all seem to be radiating an all-knowing giggle at how small our perception can be… until we remember..., again and again...

The light moves and dances,

Performing a symphony of color

That fills me with so much safety, spaciousness, and levity that I can’t help but giggle too.

When I first dove into the ocean that day, my brain and body was in knots. All of my human stressors were feeling like too much… but here among the waves, the colors, the music, I feel delightfully uncomplicated.

I feel spacious, yet whole, and complete.

When people ask me questions about seeing, I tend to get really shy and tentative. To be honest, finding the right words to talk about how I see energy (in a way that doesn't come across as either crazy or conceited) feels like the bane of my existence sometimes. But today, it feels very simple.

It's not just about what I see with my eyes...it isn't that black and white. What I see creates a transmission of feeling and living poetry that I believe is the real gift.

There is a myriad of ways that God, (Love, fill in your higher power,) offers this teaching to all of us.

Like through art making, movement, a deep relationship, really incredible sex, forgiveness, gardening, music, prayer, poetry...and so much more.

I am so grateful for all of them.

And I am grateful to the symphony of luminous, liquid, living colors that guide me home every day.

Thank you for embracing my unique offerings. Each time you book an aura reading, or attend an Aura Toning (where I often share group aura readings,) you are giving me permission to share the unique symphony I see in you...this is honestly a tremendous blessing.
